Beaches

Molivos is a municipality situated by the sea. Beautiful beaches with unique geological features and crystal clear waters surround it.

Molivos Beach, Psiriara
The central beach of Molivos begins a little further from the port and reaches the Olive Press Hotel. It is a well-organized beach with all the necessary facilities (showers, W.C., changing rooms etc.). You can hire sun beds and umbrellas to relax and sunbathe comfortably. If you wish to enjoy some refreshment drinks, small snacks or a full meal there are plenty of nice cafes and restaurants alongside the beach to choose from. Every year it receives a Blue Flag from the E.U. The coastline continues to the other end of the Gulf of Molivos where you can find the Beach of Psiriara. It is sandy and more secluded. You can go there via the Hotel Delphinia.

Eftalou, Agioi Anargyroi Beach
At the North eastern side of Lesvos after the Municipal Camping Site begins the area of Eftalou. There are many small bays where you can relax and have a swim. There are hotels and restaurants alongside the coast. At the end of the asphalt road is the Eftalou beach. It is an organized beach with W.C, showers and changing rooms. Every year it receives a Blue Flag by the E.U for its cleanliness and crystal clear waters.
However, the gem of Molivos is the beach of Agioi Anargyroi, which in reality is a formation of one long, and many small pebble beaches with wonderful crystal clear waters. You leave your car just before the Hot Baths and then you walk along the beach for some metres. There are showers and changing rooms. There is also a restaurant and a small chapel with a guesthouse in its yard. Every year it is awarded with a Blue Flag by the E.U.

Therma, Skala Sikamia
Where the asphalt road ends in Eftalou, the coastal road to Skala Sykamia begins. Along the road there are many secluded beaches. A favourite beach for the locals is the one of Megala Therma(Big Hot Spring), an area where Hot Water with healing properties springs in the sea. At the end of the road there is the picturesque port of Skala Sykamia with a small beach.

Kaghia
After Skala Sykamia there is a beautiful beach called Kaghia. You can reach it either on foot by the coastal path from Skala Sykamia or by car following the signposts at the main asphalt road. There are nice taverns for delicious appetizers with ouzo and traditional Greek meals.
